Kimberly Wender is a professional Civil Engineer with 15 years of experience in the design and management for a broad range of infrastructure projects including transportation facilities, roadways, bike paths, park and recreation projects, storm water management and drainage analysis. Kimberly has worked closely with multiple transit agencies, and the cities in which they operate, to provide efficient and safe pedestrian and rider-friendly facilities. Kimberly is an active member of the engineering community. She is past president of ASCE San Diego Section, 2019, served two years as an APWA Chapter Director, and is currently the chapter Treasurer. Prior to joining the board, Kimberly volunteered on numerous APWA committees including the Water Resources Committee and the Annual Dinner Dance Committee. She was recognized for her efforts in 2020 when she was awarded the Outstanding Service in the Private Sector for her involvement and dedication to public works.
