MISSION STATEMENT: The Outreach Committee intends to connect with with high school and college students to increase visibility and engagement in the public works profession. We provide internship and scholarship opportunities while providing exposure to projects, access to mentors, and information about the industry of public works.

Student applications for the 2026 internship and scholarship programs are now open! Applications for both programs will be submitted via the link below. We will be accepting student applications until February 28, 2026;

EMPLOYER APPLICATION: The Employer Application for the 2025 APWA Internship Program is now open! We will be accepting applications for employers willing to hire an eligible student candidates until February 28, 2026. Submit an application for interest in hiring an intern, volunteering to conduct interviews, volunteering as a mentor, or all of the above!
