Kevin Gibson is an exemplary public works professional with 35 years serving the San Diego region, with 24 years volunteering with the APWA San Diego & Imperial Counties chapter, which he currently is the Delegate for the chapter. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in civil engineering and later earned an MBA from San Diego State University. Kevin has been with RICK Engineering Company for 35 years and serves as Principal and Municipal Services Practice Lead. Kevin is a past president of the San Diego & Imperial Counties Chapter, has served as the alternate delegate, and has co-chaired the host committee for PWX 2023. His passion for helping early career professionals sparked the creation of the chapter’s Scholarship Committee to focus on underrepresented students in the San Diego region. In 2024, he received the National APWA Outstanding Chapter Achievement and Excellence in Chapter Service Award.
